Healthcare insurers and providers are seeing billions of dollars in new revenue, due to the 2nd year of subsidized private insurance and expansion of state Medicaid coverage, which added millions of more insured Americans under the Affordable Care Act. UnitedHealth in its first quarter report raised its original estimates for revenue in 2015 by $2 billion. Similarly, HCA holdings announced in its 2015 preliminary first quarter report that its annual revenue may reach $40 billion.
