How are Doctors Handling Medicaid Reimbursement Cuts?

Many smaller practices are concerned with having to drop Medicaid patients because the reimbursement rates are too low. The Affordable Care Act is significantly increasing the number of Medicaid patients (enrollment grew by more than 9 million people in 2014), but physicians are worried that they will not be able to financially afford treating these patients. On January 1st, physicians experienced an average fee reduction of 43%.
