Healthcare.gov Receives Improvement in Cyber Security

An article in philly.com highlights reasons Healthcare.gov received a new upgrade to their cyber security system.

Andy Slavitt, who oversees the technology says that the facility which hosts Healthcare.gov now meets government standards for cloud computing. Cloud operations use large networks of machines in different locations to handle data.

Healthcare.gov created white-hack hacking attempts that simulate real attacks in order to test the strength of their cyber defense. Additionally, they started daily security scans.

Although cyber security has received opposing views from critics, it has helped Healthcare.gov to keep their site protected from hackers and malicious viruses that could destroy their data.
