Medical Students At UC Irvine Are Using Google Glass
/According to an article by CNET, medical students at UC Irvine will use Google Glass in their anatomy and clinical skills courses.
The dean of medicine at UC Irvine stated, “Enabling our students to become adept at a variety of digital technologies fits perfectly with the evolution of health care into a more personalized, participatory, home-based, and digitally driven endeavor."
When used in a clinical setting, this technology could enable physicians to gain detailed knowledge about a patient by simply looking at them. Instant patient data could save time and lives.
As technology like this is introduced to the academic setting, newly trained physicians will be better equipped to adapt to the rapidly changing healthcare system.
