Physicians Believe They Will Be Ready For ICD-10 on October 1st
/Physicians are anticipating that the switch to ICD-10 will happen on October 1st. However, according to the 3rd ICD-10 readiness survey (published by Navicure and Porter Research), only 21% of physicians believe they are on track with their preparations for the transition. Navicure also estimates that there will be a decline of 52% in productivity after implementation for the first few months. Some of the findings from the respondents are the following:
- 81% are confident that they will be ready for the switchover - 67% expect the ICD-10 switch to occur on October 1st - 59% are concerned about cash flow - 12% claim their biggest concern is productivity - 41% believe that lack of payer readiness is going to be the most challenging factor of ICD-10
