UnitedHealth to Acquire Workers' Compensation Benefits Company Helios for $1.6B
/UnitedHealth is on the verge of acquiring Helios, who provides workers' compensation and pharmacy benefit management to some of the largest U.S. insurers and third-party administrators. It manages more than 7 million prescriptions annually.
The deal is said to be worth around $1.6B according to sources from CNBC. UnitedHealth acquired pharmacy benefit company Catamaran recently for $12.8B to boost that side of the business earlier this year.
