Coming Back To ICD-10
/James Swann from Bloomberg BNA discusses a recent conference he attended on ICD-10. At the gathering held by the Coalition for ICD-10, a “mixture of providers and payers all agreed that the repeated ICD-10 delays have been extremely expensive, and any more delays would be crippling.”
One health executive said the delay would require his company “to budget an extra $1.2 million for ICD-10 transition” and “reallocate funds from ICD-10 implementation to other HIT initiatives, such as stage two meaningful use attestation.”
Others discussed the importance of helping smaller providers implement ICD-10.
