To Meet Demand, The U.S. Must Produce 1.1 Million Nurses By 2022
/Fierce Healthcare reports that the American Nurses Association projects the U.S. will have to produce “1.1 million new registered nurses by 2022 to fill jobs and replace retirees.” Not only does this need arise from the large number of nurses set to retire soon, but also expansions in medical coverage in the United State.
With increases in medical spending anticipated for the next decade, physicians should take the necessary steps to ensure they are able to meet this rise in demand. Hiring more personnel now before demand grows, could mean maximizing profits in the long run.
