To Fix Healthcare Disparities, Allina Health Adds Two Care Guides
/Allina Health will have two care guides join it to focus on healthcare disparities. Care guides are non-clinical staff who support patients but do not give medical advice. According to research conducted by Allina Health, patients with care guides are 31% more likely to meet care goals than a typical patient and were 21% more likely to quit using tobacco. Some early results into end-of-life care guides suggest that health systems could save $800 per patient per month.
